Indian Spice Mix
Making your own Indian spice mix is easy and can be done with just a few common ingredients. Here's what you'll need:
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 tablespoon ground chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
Simply mix all of the ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
To use, simply add the desired amount to your recipe.
This spice mix can be used in a variety of dishes, from curries to rice dishes to soups and stews.
If you use whole spices, roast them first, then let them cool completely before blending.
Store the spice mix in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to three months.
